Celebrated Matronalia yesterday. Juno is a stern goddess, so Nero was almost sober tonight and able to talk about the state affairs. I think he ordered me to burn Rome.

Met with the prefect. He says some bastards are going to burn Rome on the third day of September Ides (A.D. III SEP. IDES). Going to Egypt to apprehend them. Prefect thinks they are Christians from Egypt or Judea.

Doctor Noot fixed me a tooth today. He wants to burn the house of his competitor. I told him to do that on the A.D. III SEP. IDES. Looks like a good link to Jews and Christians. Anyway, I will know whom to blame in a case I will not have a better candidate.

Arrived to Tarentum. Got drunk, but with a very good result. Found a Sicilian pirate Bokha who claims to know a Christian trader Benjamin, who plans to burn Rome. Bokha confirms the date of the third day of September Ides. I wrote a report to the prefect.

Met a Roman agent. Lara drugged him with wine and he told that on the A.D. III SEP IDES the Rome will burn. Drakon's warehouse for sure. Sent the agent to Glap. I'll see how he will smuggle his stuff with the man of Tigellinus onboard :-)

Yesterday night Glapos got beached. I spent the night near the ship and left to Caesarea in the morning. Some filthy vagabonds attacked me and left on the road, but did not took the money. Later a local trader picked me up and helped me to get to the city. An interesting thing is that he also knows about Benjamin and his plans. I should write to prefect. Staying tonight at the local garrison, I'll go to meet procurator tomorrow.

Today Shaul's imbeciles almost killed a Roman official. We took him to Caesarea pretending to find him on the road. I swayed him to think that these were Christians, but Shaul's guys should stop what they are doing. Do they want all the villages around to be burned out? Speaking of burning, the Roman blurted out that Rome is going to burn on A.D. III SEP IDES. I think, I'll send Shaul's guys there to give the hand. It will help to take care of Christians, and they will not do any stupid things here, in Judea. Also Shaul needs better things to do than challenging my leadership.

In a few hours I am leaving to Jerusalem with the procurator. Caesarea is a very nice city. A lot of good places, good local wine, beautiful girls. Priceps prior of the second cohort introduced me to some of them - places, wine, and the girls.

Met with Nero and Tigellinus. They want to burn Rome but don't know how to make money on that. They hired me to manage making the profit and promised Hispania Tarraconensis. I think, it's safe, they will want me far from Rome and silent, but will not dare to kill me. Especially if I'll leave some notes on this job with friends. Tigellinus is a greedy dog. He negotiated 10% for himself.
